Taller Emulsiones Fotográficas

Se propone como una experiencia de creación y producción en torno a la imagen fotográfica color. El objetivo es, en 8 sesiones de trabajo, construir una serie de imágenes por medio de cuatro capas de fotoemulsión + cian-magenta-amarillo-negro (CMYK).

 

Trabajaremos con emulsión fotográfica Goma Bicromatada, técnica que data de mediados del siglo XIX, es de fabricación artesanal, aplicación manual y sus resultados se relacionan material y visualmente con la pintura y la gráfica, desde la fotografía.

 

El taller enfatiza la investigación foto-gráfica de los participantes desde sus propuestas de autor, por medio de los elementos técnicos, plásticos/cromáticos, narrativos/compositivos que interactúan en la construcción de este tipo de fotografía color hecha a mano.

 

Está dirigido a quienes estén interesados en profundizar sus conocimientos en técnicas gráficas, fotográficas análogas y pictóricas, como también a aquellos que, sin tener conocimientos de fotografía, se encuentren interesados en conocer y realizar este tipo de obra. 

 

La estructura general del Taller abarca desde la selección de imágenes con que cada participante construirá su serie fotográfica,  edición digital, construcción de negativos, desarrollo de narrativa visual, fabricación de colores y aplicación de emulsion fotográfica; otorgando reglas básicas de manipulación de los materiales bajo un sistema de trabajo que apunta a la presición técnica a fin de lograr un resultado óptimo de las fotos.

 

Al finalizar el Taller  los participantes podrán trabajar directamente con la luz del sol, sin necesidad de implementar un laboratorio especializado, ya que el trabajo con emulsión fotográfica Goma Bicromatada no requiere de máquinas específicas.

It is designed as an experience of creation and production of  color photographic images. The objective is, in 8 work sessions, to build a series of images by means of four layers of photo emulsion + cyan-magenta-yellow-black (CMYK).

 

We will work with the photographic emulsion Gum Bichromate, technique that dates back to the mid-19th century, which is handmade and also applied manually.  The results are related materially and visually from photography to painting and graphics.

 

The workshop emphasizes the photo-graphic research of the participants from their author proposals, through technical, plastic/chromatic, narrative/compositional elements that interact in the construction of this type of handmade color photography.

 

The Workshop is aimed at those who are interested in deepening their knowledge in graphic, photographic and pictorial photography techniques, as well as those who, without having knowledge of photography, are interested in understanding and carrying out this type of work.

 

The general structure of the Workshop covers the selection of images with which each participant will build their photographic series, digital edition, negative construction, visual narrative development, color manufacture and application of the photographic emulsion.  The Workshop grants basic rules of manipulation of materials under a work system that focuses in technical precision in order to achieve an optimal result of the images.

 

At the end of the Workshop, participants will be able to work directly with sunlight, without the need to implement a specialized laboratory, since the work with the photographic emulsion Gum Bichromate does not require specialized machinery.
